Now as an out and proud MAP, getting to know someone eventually means coming out to them as a MAP. I've come out to hundreds of people in my life, and it has always gone well. However, coming out as a MAP is always stressful, and usually re-traumatizing. Now I really don't feel like getting to know new acquaintances unless doing so will provide me with a significant benefit in some way.
